Monastery
Santa Maria de El Paular Monastery was the first Monastery in Castile, founded in 1390 by Juan I, finished in 1442 by Juan II. Since 1954 a small Benedictine Community has lived in the Monastery, the members of which take charge of maintenance and proudly preserve the beauty of this religious landmark. The monks happily attend visitors.
